Karst from recent to reservoirs:
International conference on paleokarst & multi-permeability flow systems

A full day field trip to examine the spectacular present- and paleo-karst of the Black Hills is included in your registration fee. The field trip will be led by Professor Arthur N. Palmer, a geologist and author of numerous papers on the region. Transport will be by motor coach.

The full-day field trip will be in the midst of the conference and travel will be by busses and vans. Participants will have the opportunity to examine close up paleokarst developed in the Mississippian rocks as well as to experience first hand the spectacular caves for which the Black Hills region is world-reknowned.
